Wat That Luang Neua, Vientiane

There is a Lao style building to the north of Wat That Luang where the supreme patriarch of Laos resides. The newly constructed building is richly decorated in hues of gold and red.
Two huge images of Buddha in abhay mudra stand at entrance.
The three-tiered roof is richly decorated which has a dok so faa at its center. The sloping roof have chofaa at its tip.
The topmost tier of gable is decorated with vines. In the center is a dhamma chakra on top of a three-headed elephant which stand on coiled naga.
Scenes from the life of Gautam Buddha decorate the base of gable.

The balustrade is decorated with green and red colored naga. Unfortunately, the entrance was closed so I could not go inside.

a drum tower by the side of wat
Another bodhi tree but seems to be under construction.
Close to Wat That Luang, under a bodhi tree are Buddha images in various mudras.
